30 Musicians. No conductor.

c/o chamber orchestra was founded in 2014: an orchestra of thirty young musicians who want to dedicate themselves to a deeper form of music-making, to intense collaboration. Without a conductor, without fixed hierarchies. The most important idea is listening, supporting each other and taking responsibility. Together, these musicians bring their audiences the music: fresh and full of immediacy.

Concerts in 2014 took place at Berlin’s Academy of the Arts and Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche and at Leipzig’s Gohliser Schlösschen; in 2015 these were followed by appearances at the Young Euro Classic Festival on the main stage of Berlin’s Konzerthaus and the Heimathafen Neukölln: together with the great jazz trombonist Niels Landgren, the orchestra had the audience up out of their seats.

In July 2016 c/o chamber orchestra branches out, with concerts in Denmark and Sweden before returning once again to Berlin. Come join us on our journey towards the c/o sound!
