30 Musicians. No conductor.
c/o chamber orchestra was founded in 2014: an orchestra of thirty young musicians from around Europe who want to dedicate themselves to a deeper form of music-making, to intense collaboration. Without a conductor, without fixed hierarchies. The most important idea is listening, supporting each other and taking responsibility. Together, these musicians bring their audiences the music: fresh and full of immediacy.
Collaborations with soloists such as Nils Landgren, Alban Gerhardt and Gergana Gergova, as well as Cornelia Gartemann and Francisco López Martín have brought c/o in the past years to Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Spain, including to the Konzerthaus in Berlin and the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen. Committed to bringing new music to life, c/o has commissioned works from Francisco López Martín and Michael Ippolito.
Currently the orchestra is embarking on the new „Divertimento Project“, exploring and recording Divertimenti from Mozart to Michael Ippolito. Visit the project page at Gofundme (gofundme.com/cochamberorchestra) for more information.
In addition the orchestra will be making its Debut in the fall at the Usedom Music Festival.
